British composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Robert Wyatt's tuneful experimentalism has been an inspiration to a lot of musicians, from his ground-breaking work with the band Soft Machine in the late '60s, to the innovative solo albums he's been making ever since. The 70 year-old Wyatt doesn't perform much anymore, but in early June, ten New York musicians gathered on the stage of Roulette in Brooklyn to play music that Wyatt has composed or recorded. Jared Samuel and his band Invisible Familiars coordinated the concert, "3 Degrees of Robert Wyatt," which featured Joan Wasser (Joan As Police Woman), Oren Bloedow (Elysian Fields), Adam Minkoff (The Machine), Charlotte Kemp Muhl (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger), Michael Leonhart (Steely Dan), Greek singer Monika, and Jordyn Blakely and Noah Berman of Invisible Familiars, as well as Spinning On Air's own David Garland.

Roulette has a long, illustrious history of presenting experimental music, and they asked David Garland to curate a series of concerts by musicians who are expanding the song form. This concert took place on June 4, 2015. Thanks to the musicians and Roulette for permission to broadcast these recordings.
